We are right in the middle: The cold season, which unfortunately brings with it many colds. It is all the more important to talk about what we can do to strengthen our immune system and how we can use it to avoid colds.

For us, naturopathy comes first. Nature is full of power, we just have to learn to reintegrate forgotten medicinal herbs into our everyday lives. Homemade remedies that are not only easy to make, but also mostly inexpensive and easily absorbed by our body without showing any side effects. We have created 3 different recipes that are perfect to fight colds.

What are natural antibiotics?

In nature there are so-called phytobiotics, which are plants that are very effective against bacteria and have germicidal properties.

Our 3 natural antibiotics in our recipe are:

  1. Forest honey – Forest honey has many ingredients that are responsible for relieving a budding cold. Honey is also known for its antiseptic properties.
  2. Thyme – either as thymol oil or fresh thyme – inhibits the growth of viruses and bacteria.
  3. Garlic – has a germicidal effect due to the allicin it contains.

Cut potatoes into small corners and preheat your oven to 200°. In the meantime, quickly mix the marinade.

Antibiotic marinade
  • 2 tbsp. forest honey
  • 3-4 sprigs of thyme
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • a clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper

It is best to put all the ingredients in the practical tri-set and mix them into a marinade. Add to the potatoes and mix in a bowl. Then bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

The ginger honey lemon shot

Super easy to make and very valuable in effect. It’s no news that ginger comes with
many special properties, including supporting our immune system. Lemons come
with vitamin C, have an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. You already know
the special properties of honey.

You don’t need an extra juicer for the immune shots. It also works great with the
bianco di puro mixer. Simply mix all the ingredients together with a little water and
then pass through a sieve.

Immune shot recipe for 4 servings:
  • three organic lemons
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • Thumb-sized piece of ginger
  • half a handful of mint leaves
  • 200ml of water

Immune Booster Smoothie

We swear by our daily green smoothie. Why? Simply because it supports the body in detoxification and supplies it with important nutrients. In this way, our body is detoxified and can put its full power on its immune system.

Important when preparing: use the vacuum pump from bianco di puro. It extracts the oxygen from the container before blending, which ensures that important vitamins and nutrients are preserved and do not break down during blending.

Green smoothie:
  • Handful of dandelions
  • Handful of nettle
  • Handful of spinach
  • blueberries
  • 100ml freshly squeezed apple juice
  • 100ml water

It is not difficult to take care of a strong immune system in the cold season. And who would have thought that prevention could taste so good?
